The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is one of the five pillars of GIST with the mission to develop advanced core technologies for the nation and specialized technologies for the region. The school started accepting new enrollments in 1995 and ever since has been dedicated to fostering human resources for next-generation IT and IT-convergent technologies and professionals to take the lead in relevant research disciplines. Research groups consisting of three to seven professors per discipline ensure efficiency and competitive edge in research projects commissioned by the state.
The school’s endeavors in the past three decades have been rewarded by being ranked top in Korea in terms of research funds and papers published per faculty, and the school has positioned itself as an internationally renowned graduate school in applied science.
We, the faculty members and students at the GIST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, are working together to take the lead in the development of future core technologies and foster some of the brightest minds that will be leaders of the nation in the era of infinite technological competition.
I look forward to even more professors and students joining us in our journey, and their continued interest in and support for us.
Thank you.
